I can't use Iron Body or polymorph to a spider because my wizard is immune to Polymorph -- don't know why.

The transformation spell, maybe.

He's immune all the time -- I tried stripping him naked but it didn't help. All the polymorph spells leave him very weak and ineffective IME so I don't really use them, I was just trying to spice up the battles.

Oh, another thing -- his base speed is 15, not 30, so he's slow.

I assume you used Iron Body before. It makes your wizard slow and immune to polymorph.

I guess the Permanency spell was secretly included in the game then too!

Same problem after use Iron Body. Sounds like a bug.

Seeing as the Polymorph spells suck, and being immune to death effects rocks, it's kind of a win for the players!

Not when you have 50% spell failure.

I never experienced spell failure -- it was all upside!
