I played the whole weekend and had truely a lot of fun.
We request things and bemoan others ITT, eh?

As much as we moan, I've yet to see a single comlpaint about the actual content of the game, the quests, how the combat works etc etc. Which is more than you can say for a lot of those block buster games. So the guys are doing the main thing right :)

Couldn't agree more. Many users here are currently doing an amazing job not just finding bugs but also coming up with constructive and intelligent solutions to various problems, but let's just say there's no coincidence that we're not seeing any "when does this game ever get fun?" threads whatsoever on this forum. If we didn't like the game so much none of us would bother pointing out even the most easily describable/reproducable glitch in the game engine.

question: I'm lvl12 now, will I ever find a robe for the Mage?

Oh yes, don't worry about that; as with all other forms of equipment, you'll find more cloaks than you'll ever need in later dungeons.

I think he means robes - ie things that go on the torso slot?

No there are no robes, but the wizard can put on cloaks and bracers of armour. Or a light armour.

Even 5% is too much!
Nifty request: I want robe! I don't even demand the Robe of Vecna, let's say something humble like a Robe of Minor Fire Resistance, you get the idea.

I see. So are there any cool robe-specific functions in D&D which would be nice to have in a game like KotC (judging by the last post I'm guessing wildly that it has something to do with bonuses without spell failure)?

Robes don't effect spells, require feats to use etc. Also: It's something you can enchant.
Personally, I'm not missing them that much.

2 more things:

- if you have armor bracers equiped you cannot cast Mage Armor on self, even if you have only +1 bracers and the spell would give you +4
- same with Shield of Faith and Protection ring

another scenario:
I have the wrong wand equiped.

- I open inventory, switch wands, then cast spell from wand - ok
- I cast spell, notice it's the wrong wand so i cancel the action, go to inventory to switch wands, then I'm not allowed to use the wand... why?

That's normal behaviour for the game. You can't combine the same effect from different sources.

That depends on whether you lost the standard action. Casting a spell is a standard action. Normally if you cancel the spell you would keep the standard action, but not always. If you triggered someone's ready action, then you shouldn't cancel your spell, otherwise you will lose your action.
