Any chances of the game coming to some modern distribution?

This is the place to talk about KotC, ask for help, and report bugs.

I don't know if you heard about this new initiative:

https://indiegamestand.com/store/

I have nothing to do with them, but they seem very Indie friendly and promise a response to interested devs in 1-2 days timeframe :)

Thanks for the link, I'll think about it. No news from GOG in 3+ weeks by the way.

That's a pity, I do hope they will wake up.. out of curiousity - did you apply via their Indie program or just written to them?

Hey! I want to buy your game, but I really like GOG. It's easy and I can access it when I go home for the holidays (I'm a student).

So let's say you get the game on GOG, but I've already bought it through your site, could I then get the game on GOG?

Also, how good are the odds that you're going to get this game onto GOG?

I'm also assuming that buying it on GOG and not on your website means you get less money? Yeah? So maybe I should just buy it on your website anyways? Maybe some of these are more questions for GOG staff. I don't know. I do want to thank you for making a game like this though!

Did you read the previous posts here? If you look just a bit up you will see that GOG did not reply so far. So that answers the bit about the chances I guess...

I created a thread on Gog's forum asking about this and one of Gog's employees responded that they are swamped at the moment. That said there seems to be a very high interest in KotC, more than the new game. Which I share, the game may be great, but turn based will always be so much more fun than RTS ;)

Anyway, if anyone cares the thread is here:

I applied via their indie programme page.

As far as I know GOG takes 30% so I would get 70% of the displayed price.

I would prefer that. Thank you for the kind words!

O.k. I think that explains the delay.

I know. I just want to do what's best for all my games. :)

[Edit]Aha, I just had to reply to that Gog thread...

Well, I had a look at the RTS and I really like the style and the premise, so I think it might be a great game... I just don't enjoying RTSes that much...

Sure. Nothing wrong with that.

O.k. GOG has replied. That makes them better than other distribution sites. At least they talk. Credit where it's due :)
Now for the actual outcome of talks you'll have to wait, but I would say it's not going in the right direction.
In essence, GOG wants to distribute KotC but not BotS. My initial goal was more like the opposite.
