I am surprised that BlueSalamander hasn't written about this game as yet, because the combat seems to be right up his alley. While it is not turn-based, the combat plays out very slowly and is quite tactical (in fact, some people complain about the slow pace, but I love it because it makes it seem like a turn-based game ;) ).

The mage battles in particular are very fun and challenging and reward deep tactical-thinking. I think that the people on this forum would relish a challenge, and those mage battles were certainly brutal. The slow pace also makes the combat much better than the chaotic mess that we often encounter in most "real time with pause" games.

The most glaring downside to the game however, is the rough english translation. In fact, "rough" is an understatement. The translation is horrendous. While the plot seems to be complex and interesting, it's almost impossible to truly get into it because the bad translation borders on non-sensical at times. A shame because I see a lot of potential in this game. Party-based RPG's seem like a dying breed, and this game is one of the few modern ones.

It's just not very appealing to me - the steampunk setting, the 3D, real-time-with-pause combat, and problems like pathfinding and translation.
There is a review here http://www.rpgwatch.com/show/article?ar ... f=0&id=247.

I tried the game and must agree with review at rpgwatch. :(
Played for a couple of hours and then uninstalled.
Now I am playing Risen (for second time) while I'm waiting Gothic 4 release.
