starting armor gives 0 AC. it's a "robe" using a armour icon

Hi,

This is one of the armour my characters started with.

It took me a long time to notice that despite the image and name, it's NOT an armor...

is that normal?

If those are robes, why not use robe icon. If this is a real armor, why 0 AC?

Hello LordSith! Yes, this is normal. The starting armour doesn't grant any Armour Class bonus, it's only there so that your characters don't start out naked.

The Robe type and Clothing proficiency is just to show that this isn't real armour. The icon and the sprite depend on the character class. You'll get the robe icon and robe sprite if your character is a mage. Cheers
