Swords and Sorcery Underworld

Here is a game inspired by Might and Magic I and II and Bard's Tale (1985): Swords and Sorcery – Underworld

It features turn-based combat (abstract like in Bard's Tale), an automap and a 3D world view. There's a free demo and it's sold for US$ 20.

RPGWatch reviewed the game at http://www.rpgwatch.com/show/article?ar ... f=0&id=440. Corwin said that the game is fun and addictive. A bit too easy towards the end perhaps. I'll have to try it, one of these days.

Hello everyone.

The gold version's just been released. It's pretty now

www.olderbytes.com is the new site. Now I can finally move on to a brand new project!

There's a sequel discussion on RPGCodex. The topic at hand right now is the GUI

I'd really like to get into your game, however, I find that creating 6 characters for a party is way too much. I get bored with 4 characters and usually play party based games with 2-3, gaining excess levels faster and becoming more powerful. If there was a way to get around the forcing 6 party members, Id buy your game. I find it insane that some people can play 8 party member rpgs and still know who each character's name is and the difference between them.

Avernum at least allows you a choice.

There was a choice in earlier versions but some players thought it maxed at 4 and I read complaints that the game was impossible (which it pretty much is with 4 party members). I went with the middle ground: forcing 6 players but having a pre-made party available.
