If a dominated char goes down, it dies regardless of HP?

I was doing my last run when my char was dominated by a vampire. I took my char down and despite just recieving a blow that would only put him on -4, It died. Does it make sense?

Mmmm. Technically it does, the game is treating your dominated character like a monster, and monsters are killed when their HP drop to 0. One more thing that will go to my list of things that could be improved.

Yeah, I was just asking if thats how its intended or it was some weird bug.
I wouldnt say changing it would be improving it, or otherwise.
