1.13 : xp cost for enchanting weapon not right?

hi,
I'm currently trying to enchant a weapon :

It says i need 6820 xp.

Ok.

But i cannot and why?

My character has :


From what i understand, he has at least 20k xp here to spend since he only misses 7800 and the other numbers i guess is what he has currently.

So why can't I enchant this weapon?

Ah, that question is easy.

To be level 8 as in the picture, your character needs 28,000 XP.

So you had only 821 free XP for enchanting. You can't spend so much XP that it would make you drop to the lower character level.
